Two years ago, you'd have thought I couldn't shut up about politics and the mess we are in as a country, better yet, as a world. Looking everywhere and under every rock there is politics with the black-eye of dirty dealings. I wanted to help change that and was outspoken about my convictions.

While in this mode, I was dealing with some pretty strong narcissistic personalities here in the local level of the Republican party. Women, for the most part, are hard workers, full of vigilance and staying power to get the job done the right way. But put a women who is not a good team player at the helm and you get a narcissistic, self-centered, and at the same time inferior-complexed human being that will take over, bring in her personal posse, make enemies, and control the entire county with her short-sighted mania.

Fast film forward to the present and I haven't set foot in a political meeting of any remote sort since finishing up my presidency as the Republican Women of Pitt County in December, 2010. Even my very best friend severely turned on me at the end when she found out that I was 'heels and elbows' after my term was up.

It's been refreshing not being involved, yes I have heard that the maniac county chair has convinced her little gang of cronies to vote to change the county bylaws to exclude Republican clubs from having seats on the county Republican organization just to make sure her little evil ways do not get overturned by common sense voices. Sad really, but I am outta here!!

However, on the national side, isn't it really sad that the big boys can't keep it clean? Edwards and Schwarzenegger, those filthy letches and now Weiner.....OMGosh!! His name should have made a few people wonder! OK, that wasn't fair, but really with a name like that one would THINK you'd keep it on the clean side.....sheesh!!

Politics are a curse and George Washington said it when he talked about party affiliations and the strife they will cause. Politicians have been given a black eye for years now and I am hoping that it is coming to a head, so that we can start cleaning up the trash and streamline these terms to short sporadic ones so no one gets too comfy in their government-owned chairs. Maybe some of this will sober up the mischievious wannabes and keep them on the straight and narrow path. Close to their families, roots, and those that voted them in!!

It's this: That after spending the past 2 years as leader of a political club and seeing the mean-girl mentality, the mean-spirited rhetoric, all the growing hostilities in the media, communities, and even between family members on the subject of political party stands, I am deeply convinced that it will NOT be the political machine that cures our country's ills, it will be the Christians. The votes are in.

And the Catholic vote was decisive.

Republicans took control of the house in a massive sweep, while the Senate remains in the hands of the Democrats by a slim margin.

Early indications suggest the GOP won 53% of the Catholic vote with Democrats garnering 45% of Catholics, according to a CNN exit poll. After losing the Catholic vote by 10 points in 2008, this eight point advantage represents an 18-point shift in support to the Republican Party.

CatholicVote.org Candidates

Catholic Republicans like Bobby Schilling in Illinois-17, Sean Duffy in Wisconsin-7, and Dan Benishek in Michigan-1 all won seats held previously by Catholic Democrats who supported the health care bill. All three of these winning candidates happen to be proud pro-life Catholics, and were endorsed by CatholicVote!

In South Carolina, CatholicVote-endorsed Mick Mulvaney shocked the political world by ousting Nancy Pelosi’s Budget Chairman John Spratt, who has been in office since 1983.

In Virginia, the founder of the liberal Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good (a group that publicly justified Catholic support for pro-abortion candidates) lost his seat to pro-life challenger Robert Hurt. CatholicVote.org backed Hurt with a radio blitz during the final week of the campaign.

We also backed Republican Jeff Fortenberry in Nebraska and pro-life Democrat Dan Lipinski in Illinois – both of whom were re-elected. Lipinski was one of the only members of the Stupak coalition that refused to compromise. He voted against Obamacare.

CatholicVote-endorsed candidate Frank Guinta unseated Rep. Carol Shea-Porter in New Hampshire. Shea-Porter claimed a Catholic faith, yet supported abortion and so-called same-sex “marriages.”

In northern Virginia, CatholicVote endorsed Keith Fimian still trails Rep. Gerry Connolly by a mere 820 votes. Some absentee ballots are apparently still to be counted and a recount appears likely. Please pray for Keith. Our candidate in NY-22, George Phillips, did better than anyone expected, but came up short to Rep. Maurice Hinchey.

And in the marquee Senate race in Nevada, Harry Reid defeated CatholicVote-backed Sharron Angle in a disappointing loss.

Putting it in perspective

This means our 2010 Midterm Election campaign racked up 8 wins, 2 losses and one race not yet decided. But we also helped lead the charge in educating, and mobilizing the most important voting bloc in America – the Catholic vote!

Together we are building a movement, and today you should feel proud.

Victories at the ballot box are a start, and the new Republican Party needs to know we expect them to deliver.

Economic issues may have been the biggest story of this election, but let’s not forget what we said last May. Votes have consequences, and virtually every so- called “pro-life” legislator that voted for Obamacare went down to defeat last night.

Those legislators that stood firm on principle, defended life, and opposed the stifling impact of a runaway federal government were rewarded.

We are grateful beyond measure for your help.

Since being voted in as the President of the Republican Women of my county, I have been attending more meetings, reading by-laws, receiving more emails, and getting trained in the party levels, fundraising, public relation, etc.

Yesterday I attended a training seminar and the speaker for dealing with media was finishing up his presentation with a final note that struck me with pride. He said that as a speaker I deal with both sides of the political spectrum, but as an individual, I am a Republican and folks you are on the right side. We Republicans have it right, but we have got to start back at the grassroots and build up keeping what made us strong in the past, keeping to our values, beliefs, and ethics. Basically, defining what conservatives is and being strict in sticking to these tenets as we progress into the future.

Yep, I believe that is right, it won't be easy, but it is worth fighting for.

What are our values, beliefs, and ethics?1.The right of the individual to achieve the best within him as long as he respects the rights of others, is the source of our nation's strength.

2. That government exists to protect the freedom of opportunity in which each individuals creative ability can flourish.

3. That government activities should be limited to those things which people cannot do at all, or cannot do so well for themselves.

4. That the most effective government is government close to the people (local)

5. That those who can not provide for themselves should be assisted by both government and society, BUT that every effort should be made to help them become self-supporting, productive citizens with pride in their independence.

6. That equal rights, equal justice, and equal opportunity belong to all, regardless of race, creed, age, sex, or national origin.

7. That the preservation of our Nation and the security of our citizens depend upon the Constitution, the laws and the courts, and that respect for them is the responsibility of every individual.

Ballot confusion for this year's election

This year, we have a new twist on the ballots. On the backside of the ballot is a "Instant Runoff Voting" section for the Court of Appeals judges. The directions explain that the voter must select 3 candidates in order of their personal preference, then select a DIFFERENT candidate for each column. The second and third choice will NOT count against the 1st choice, just that they will be considered in a runoff if your 1st choice is not in the runoff.

Basically, you will have 3 columns, make sure your first choice is in the first column and in case there is a runoff, your next choice is in the 2nd column, etc.

Three GOP candidates in the so-called “baker's dozen race” of 13 candidates for a seat on the N.C. Court of Appeals also attended the meeting.

Chris Dillon of Raleigh, a UNC graduate who practiced law for 10 years before helping found a community bank there, said his law background was important but he brought more to the bench because of his “real world business experience.”

Daniel Garner of Rolesville, just outside Raleigh, holds undergraduate, M.B.A. and law degrees from UNC. He said his 28 years as an attorney, including time spent serving as counsel to the N.C. Commissioner of Banks, qualified him for the job.

Jewel Ann Farlow of Gibsonville, a Duke University graduate who graduated from the Wake Forest University School of Law, said her 22 years of private practice qualified her for the job. She noted the Davidson County Governmental Center and its “In God We Trust” sign on the front is on her website.

“I wanted to meet the backbone of Davidson County,” she said. “I am a conservative and I will be a conservative judge. I won't legislate from the bench.”

Political gardens need good county chairs to nurture the crop

A garden of onions, like any garden needs constant tending to get the best the crop an be. Onions are the flavoring of so many foods, and alone they are amazing! What main course recipe doesn't have onions as a required ingredient? Very few, indeed. Onions are so important to our world to make things taste good, adding a dimension that none other can do, that we need to make sure their gardens are well kept. So, too, is the political garden. Without candidates filling governing positions, voters to put these candidates to work, the committees, legislators, senators, governors, representatives and alas, the President would not be where they are.

The political make up is like an onion garden with several layers, overseeing and getting the communication out to the people of our great nation.

The first layer is the national party chair. This person needs to be the leader of the party in all things pertaining to the nations political arena. The job is vital in the platform and commitment of the party.

The second layer is the state chair. This person answers to the national chair and carries out and extends the leadership of the national chair. The state chair also oversees each county and keeps the communication between the national and state issues, etc.

The next layer is the district chair. Each state is divided into districts, which includes several counties. The district chair is the communicator between the state and counties.

The county chair is the communicator between the state, district, and the citizens of the county. This person is key in a more definitive way in that each citizen should know their county chair. The county chair should, therefore be a person who is out there communicating with the citizens and forming the final layer, which is the precinct chairs. Each county is divided into precincts. These precincts are the key to getting out the voters, the information about candidates, local issues and legislation, and educating them in all the elements of government.

So, of all the above layers, the county chair is the epitome of the political machine. This is a grassroots position!! The county chair should be the person of influence and inspiration to all local citizens. The county chair must be both energetic, neutral, and charitable to all the people in the county. A coach, a mentor, an educator, and a good friend to the local citizens. The county chair is the key to all things political to a county, state, and in turn the nation!

Do you know your county chair? If you are a registered voter, they should know you or else they are not doing their job!

Lately, I have become rather turned off.....COMPLETELY with all the political crap that is surrounding our world. But, after listening to the jerk president yesterday, I just have to say something!!!

First and foremost, doesn't everybody get this guy by now???

1.   He is only the president of those who SUPPORT him and his twisted agenda

2. He is an idealist with very TWISTED ideals that are short-sighted, unless he has others calculatedly positioned to come up behind him, ie. the health care, taxes, homosexual agenda, etc.

3. Why he continues to campaign is anyone's guess.   This guy just doesn't know how to lead, much less count!!

4. Dissing the opposition instead of working with them is his mantra. This is way too bad, since he could be doing so much more positive things if he would work WITH people instead of against them.

5. Asking now for $5 billion MORE to fix jobs and infrastructure?? So where is THIS money coming from????

6. Campaigning for the above mentioned at a rally filled with UNION members??? Oh gosh, of course they are applauding, they are of the "gimme" side of our country.

7. All these liberal appointees and "czars"....this is another completely obvious move on his twisted part to 'change' our thinking.....

How much more of this guy is this country going to take?? The media is even waking up.

John Paul II's Example Shines Light on Controversy
NEW YORK, AUG. 19, 2010 (Zenit.org).- The New York archbishop is underlining the need for civil, respectful dialogue as controversy heats up over plans for building an Islamic center near the site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

"I know it's a controversial topic," said Archbishop Timothy Dolan in a spontaneous press conference Wednesday.

"My major prayer is that what has turned into somewhat of a divisive issue might develop into an occasion of very civil, rational, loving, respectful discussion," he affirmed.

There has been much controversy over plans to build the Park51 Islamic community center and mosque in a location two blocks from where the World Trade Center stood in New York City before the Sept. 11, 2001, attack by Muslim terrorists.

Some argue that putting an Islamic center so close to Ground Zero, the site of the tragedy, is insensitive to the victims and their families. Others posit that this project will give the Muslims a chance to demonstrate their peaceful values and their desire to coexist with others.

Principles

Archbishop Dolan lauded the city's mayor, Michael Bloomberg, who "articulated in a particularly eloquent way the principles of religious freedom and hospitality upon which this country and this wonderful community is based."

"We as Catholics, of course, have been particularly sensitive when it comes to welcoming others," the prelate said, underlining the need to "welcome the immigrant and the refugee."

"We ourselves are somewhat touchy about this issue because in the past we've been discriminated against," he added.

On the other hand, the archbishop acknowledged that "there are thoughtful people on the other side" who have sensitivities that they are trying to bring to people's attention.

"My prayer," he said, "is that both sides -- in a thoughtful, civil, loving, respectful way -- can be heard, and that we can come to some type of responsible, appropriate decision."

Archbishop Dolan noted that he is "beginning some type of dialogue and conversation in company with other religious leaders" to try to help provide "that kind of rational, civil way to settle it."

Peacemaker

He also observed that as the secular media has been reporting on the controversy, he was "flattered" to see a couple of journalists refer to the example of Pope John Paul II in the attempt to find a solution.

They spoke about the Pontiff's example when "there was somewhat of an analogous source of tension at the Auschwitz concentration camp," he noted. "It was John Paul II who said, 'We have two sides worth hearing.'"

A group of Carmelites had established a convent near the site of the former concentration camp, but the Jewish community protested.

"There were thoughtful voices on both sides," the prelate recalled. "The Catholic side with the Carmelite sisters saying, 'Please, we want to pray here at this sacred spot.' Thoughtful Jewish voices saying, 'That sentiment is highly appreciated, but please don't do anything that might distract from the uniquely sacred Jewish character of this site.'"

The archbishop continued: "John Paul II said,

'Why don't we get together civilly and thoughtfully, and with dignity, and maybe decide a good solution.' He's the one who said, 'Let's keep the idea and maybe move the address.'"

"It worked there," Archbishop Dolan affirmed. "It might work here."

He underlined the need to find a solution in a "thoughtful, charitable way."

When asked by journalists if he would play a role in bringing the conflicting groups together, the prelate said that he would be "honored."

He added that the New York Archdiocese is already playing a role "in a back door way."

The archbishop explained, "In a quiet, behind the scenes way, many of our pastors in the area, a lot of our other religious leaders, are already part of the conversation that needs to keep going on."

Recently, the board of elections here in my county voted for Sunday voting. Over 60% of the citizens voiced their opinions against this. Did the Board of Elections listen to the people? NO. They had an agenda to adhere to, not the people.

White House officials are doing the same thing, there is an agenda and no overwhelmingly opposed response is going to change that.

Why? Isn't it what they are supposed to do, govern by and for the people? During these several months under the Odrama administration, the people have lost their voices, the government does NOT have their best interest in mind as they pass one horrible bill after another.

They just want control, control of the people, control of the United States, control of the money, resources, and control over the best thing in the world.....a democracy.

It is my prayer that come November, the citizens are wise and determined to vote for those who are going to change this way of thinking and govening as this is completely and without a question NOT how and why this great nation was founded.

Racial Problems in Greenville, NC

They’d rather fight, than take responsibility and be respectful.

I don’t even know where to begin these days. If you think I have been silent for lack of anything to say, it actually has been the complete opposite!! There is so much going on that I can’t focus on one thing to talk about. However, recently in our local newspaper, the headlines covered a story where a black city councilwoman went out at 1:37 am to get arrested by the city police. I quote, “I heard you guys were doing this and I knew I could get you to do it.” The police report is published and I have a copy of it here and have read it thoroughly.

Here’s the scenario: A black person goes out to “test the waters” and see if the police are racially profiling downtown. They attract a police officer, become rude and defensive, and the police do their job of removing a disorderly citizen off the streets for some cool-down time. This black person gets arrested, charged with second-degree trespassing and resisting an officer and taken downtown. Within hours, the police officer gets in trouble, taken off the streets and on administrative leave, thankfully with pay. The black person gets the attention of the NAACP and the Southern Christian leadership conference which fly to the scene and hold a press conference stating that they side with the black person and calling for the Police Chief’s removal of office. Once again, the racial card is played.

It happened here in Pitt County, North Carolina. The Pitt County NAACP President, Calvin Henderson, said that they gathered beause of a “serious miscarriage of justice.” Completely disregarding the facts in the situation! The NAACP feels that this was an example of racial profiling by the office, who didn’t recognize the arrested woman as a city council member. Yep, you read it right, this person serves on the city council!! Ms. Kandie Smith, District 1 councilwoman went out that night to “act as any person might in the situation and didn’t want to be given special consideration because of her position.” Henderson, asked, “How many of you who are employed don’t know your boss?” Henderson also said blacks, shouldn’t have to walk around in fear in our community” simply because of the color of their skin. I agree! But this is not the case! This young lady was, according to the police report, rude questioning the officer, and saying “You can’t tell me what to do” (Does this sound like a respectable city council member?) The officer was complying with an ordinance that went into effect in July 2009 for the citizen’s protection in the Code of Ordinances Chapter 1, Section 12-1-11 which states:

SEC. 12-1-11 UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY IN CITY-OWNED PARKING LOT AND TRESPASS UPON
PRIVATELY OWNED PARKING LOT.
(A) City-owned parking lot. It shall be unlawful for any person to assemble with one or more other persons on a
city-owned or controlled parking lot except for the purpose of lawfully parking a vehicle in the lot. It shall not be a violation of this section to lawfully park a vehicle in a city parking lot and leave the lot without delay, or go upon a city parking lot and without delay proceed to a lawfully parked vehicle and then leave.

(B) Constitutional exception. The prohibition in subsection (A) above shall not apply to a congregation of persons
pursuant to any lawfully issued permit for a parade, demonstration, picketing or other event or congregation protected under the Constitution of the United States or this state.

(C) City parking lot defined. The term “city parking lot,” as used in this section, shall mean any parking lot owned or
controlled by the city and maintained for public or public and leased space parking.

(D) Privately owned parking lot. It shall be unlawful for any person to enter or remain upon any privately owned
parking lot or publicly owned lot owned by a governmental entity other than the city after normal working hours and on
weekends when the owner, lessee or authorized agent has posted a sign or signs clearly stating the prohibition. The sign(s) shall be placed in a position where it is clearly visible and shall contain the following language:
NO PARKING OR TRESPASSING BETWEEN
________P.M. and ________A.M.
VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED

ACORN stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, We shall overcome. Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

President Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper's plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of thegrasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ants food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because thegrasshopper doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang ofspiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and once peaceful, neighborhood..

The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.

Our daughter has been studying George Washington for a research paper she is writing for her English composition course with Seton homestudy. It's been a hard, but very interesting journey for both she and I. As I am very active in the political world and a definite TEAparty participant, we have been learning about the constitution and going further into our founding fathers' historic design for our country.

As we were driving along the other day, she was telling me that the constitution that was written and signed was only 4 pages. "Wow, I said, "and how many pages is the healthcare bill?" She got out her calculator and figured out that the healthcare bill is 500 times bigger than the document that our nation was formed with.

Can Conservatives work together?

The Teaparty movement began over a year ago after the present administration took office and began it's hostle take-over. The movement started because Democrats, Republicans, white or black, Christian or Jew, we were tired of the runaway spending, taxation, and bailouts. We were angry about Wallstreet stealing from us, our Congress cheating us, and the president deceiving us time after time.

The "Taxed Enough Already" movement makes complete sense to me and it's effort to make awareness of the troubling situation in our country that has actually been a slow, steady, and creepy process over the years since the 40's.

The Republican party lost it's mission some administrations ago, and presently we have the mess we have due to that lost of focus. At some point, the GOP has woken up, seen it's wayward ways and is reverting to it's conservative values and working hard against a fast moving corrupt current. It's an uphill battle, but one that must be won.

Enter the human condition. It seems that all the people that are conservative want the same thing, smaller government, less taxes, etc., but it's the getting along part that we are having problems with. Everywhere I turn, there are new little groups forming under new names and working out new strategies. In my own county, we have a county chair that has proved to be as polarizing and divisive as anybody could be. We have a new Teaparty group with rules and a leadership team that completely defeats the purpose of what the teaparty movement stands for. There are other clubs that are forming from a schism that is the result of selfishness and ill-will for change and fresh ideas.

Listen, the mission is clear, biblically speaking, Mark 3:23-27,

And after he had called them together, he said to them in parables: How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan be risen up against himself, he is divided, and cannot stand, but hath an end. 27 No man can enter into the house of a strong man and rob him of his goods, unless he first bind the strong man, and then shall he plunder his house.

If we are one concerted effort, putting aside our selves and remaining cool and charitable toward those who share our common goals, we can be the "strong man", but if we continue down this path of division, selfishness and greed, we shall fail. The victims here would be our next generation and the history of this great nation.

Studying the Constitution this year, we have been learning so much about our founding fathers and their original intent for our country. For one thing, President Washington was not a power-thirsty individual with a narcistic attitude as the present POTUS is.

What I have been learning about Washington:

Washington was a humble man who CARED about the soldiers, slaves, and his family. He was concerned about the soldiers, but knew that fighting for our freedom with all we had was the most important thing any soldier, himself included, could do for future generations of independence.

Odrama is far from humble, there isn't a humble bone in his body. He is a pompous ass who revels in attention, popularity, and power. His narcissitic behavior is distracting and alarming at the same time. He cares for no one, only what he can get and from whom. He is threatened and immature about those who disagree with and acts like a spoiled brat with banter that is childlike.

Washington was wise about many things. His mere presence at the discussions and signing of the Declaration of Independence with little input in the discussions was enough. Others mentioned that he had very little to say in these deliberations, but his mere being there brought order and determination to the process.

Odrama is a very unwise character with no interest in gaining wisdom. At the healthcare discussions he held recently, his mouth ran for more time than either side and when it was brought up, he simply said, "I talked long because, well, I'm the president." This is case in point for my previous statement about his being a pompus ass with narcissitic tendencies.

Washington knew when to stop. At his home at Mt. Vernon, the guide at the end of the house tour pointed to a chair in his study and told us about the decisions that were made by Washington as he sat in this chair. One decision that will be Washington's legacy was to relinquishing his command as a general in the militia. It was time for others to take the helm, he wanted to go back to Mt. Vernon and take care of this family and his farm.

Odrama's decisions have been made in haste, waste, and disgrace. He knows very little about what he is doing and talks incessantly about anything and everything. He has no interest in letting go of the reigns much less listen to the citizens of this good country and follow their wishes. He has no people skills, just knows how to corral them into where he wants them. He manipulates and indocdrinates without a concern for the welfare of the country.

Washington did not strive to make great changes in the country, he strived to see it's progress in leading others as they grew and thrived as a new nation. He never received a penny for his services as president of the United States, he didn't believe that one should be paid for serving their country.

Odrama and his posse have only one plan, completely overhaul the country and control it to that he can get whatever he wants from it. He wants to completely change our country's structure in every way possible without regard to it's origins and intend. Everything is about money and control, so obviously, this president is getting as much money out of this deal as he can...along with his administration. They are tax evaders, cheaters, lobbyists, and corrupt politicians without exception. He meant this to be so, too.

In his speech as he left the presidency, Washington, warned of dangers of partisan struggles, even then it was apparent that political parties can be divisive and destructive to the democracy of our country. He warned us of what is happening now, to deaf ears, I am afraid.

Odrama is only president to the democrat party....period. He has no concern for what we ALL want, he is not listening. He doesn't care.

Washington believed in a divine entity that was present in the forming of this government.

Odrama does not, at all.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, so they say. The abortion industry is right in the middle of these desperate times after their leader, President Obama, abandoned them in the midst of the health care debate. By not stepping in to ensure that the Stupak-Pitts amendment, which prevents the government from funding abortion, would not be in the health care bill, he seems to have left them out in the cold.

Maybe not. After the amendment overwhelmingly passed the House did the president step in to say it went too far and that he would work to strip it from health care? The betrayal of Sen. Ben Nelson, Nebraska Demcrat, certainly took a step in the right direction for the president when he caved on a phony abortion compromise that pushed the health care bill through the Senate on Christmas Eve.

But the abortion industry has certainly had its share of heartbreaks as well. Perhaps one of the worst betrayals came from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, an ardent pro-choicer herself, when she left the abortion lobby to fend for itself after letting Stupak-Pitts get to the floor for a vote.
So it's no wonder that Planned Parenthood, NARAL and their allies are using desperate measures to make sure that the government funds abortion through health care. They have supposedly sent coat hangers to the Democrats who voted in favor of the Stupak amendment and have attacked the Catholic Church for standing up for its deeply held conviction and teaching that all life is sacred and that the government shouldn't be funding abortion.

And they are outright trying to deceive the American public on the merits of the Stupak amendment.

Earlier this month, New York Democratic Rep. Nita Lowey claimed that the Stupak-Pitts Amendment "puts new restrictions on women's access to abortion coverage in the private health insurance market even when they would pay premiums with their own money." Just days later, PolitiFact.com issued an analysis and said her comments were "false."

Planned Parenthood's cover has been blown. Before the vote on Stupak-Pitts, there were no uproars from the abortion lobby about government funding of abortion in the health care bill. There were no send-your-legislator-a-hanger campaigns. Why? Because they were hoping this issue would slip under the radar and that the bill would pass without any specific exclusion of abortion, which would ensure that abortion would certainly be funded by the government.
But pro-life groups like ours were making noise and demanding abortion funding be taken out of health care legislation. And we will continue to do so as the House and Senate bills have to be reconciled.

And if it weren't for the Michigan Democratic Rep. Bart Stupak's perseverance and courage - and the courage of those who voted with him - the abortion industry could have very well pulled the wool over the eyes of the majority of Americans who do not want their tax dollars funding abortions.

But it's not over yet, far from it. The Senate bill provides for government-funded abortions and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops calls it "the worst we've seen yet."

These are certainly desperate times. Our nation has come to a well-defined fork in the road. President Obama and Congress can either choose to protect the status quo or fund abortion and ram an unpopular and immensely immoral bill through the legislature. It is our hope that the nation does not choose to fund abortion with government money.

How can a Catholic be a Democrat with these statement in it's platform?

Choice

The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a
woman's right to choose a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay,
and we oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right.

The Democratic Party also strongly supports access to comprehensive affordable
family planning services and age-appropriate sex education which empower people
to make informed choices and live healthy lives. We also recognize that such
health care and education help reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and
thereby also reduce the need for abortions.

The Democratic Party also strongly supports a woman's decision to have a child
by ensuring access to and availability of programs for pre- and post-natal
health care, parenting skills, income support, and caring adoption programs. and
on a more 'perfect' union, it states:

A More Perfect Union We believe in the essential American ideal that we are not
constrained by the circumstances of birth but can make of our lives what we
will. Unfortunately, for too many, that ideal is not a reality. We have more
work to do. Democrats will fight to end discrimination based on race, sex,
ethnicity, national origin, language, religion, sexual orientation, gender
identity, age, and disability in every corner of our country, because that's the
America we believe in. and....

It is not enough to look back in wonder at how far we have come; those who
came before us did not strike a blow against injustice only so that we would
allow injustice to fester in our time. That means removing the barriers of
prejudice and misunderstanding that still exist in America. We support the
full inclusion of all families, including same-sex couples, in the life of
our nation, and support equal responsibility, benefits, and protections. We
will enact a comprehensive bipartisan employment non-discrimination act. We
oppose the Defense of Marriage Act and all attempts to use this issue to
divide us.

A Troubling New Development Appears in American Politics

For decades, Americans have been subjected to the arguments of certain Catholic politicians who argued that while "personally opposed" to unjust policies like abortion, they were nonetheless unwilling to "impose" that view on the rest of the country.The argument was disingenuous, premised on the fact that somehow a "Catholic" conscience had to be put to the side in the public square.

Now, the very people who argued that they couldn't bring their private conscience into a secular public square are poised to use the law to impose a particular view on their fellow Catholics.By working and voting to include abortion coverage in health care legislation, several Catholic politicians stand at the precipice of being the deciding votes in forcing a particular immoral view on their fellow Catholics, by forcing them to fund abortion through their tax dollars.

While professing that they cannot impose their conscience on anyone else, these politicians seem to have little hesitation about imposing a political view -- one they claim to oppose in principle -- on the consciences of their fellow Catholics.

Far from Kennedy

Catholic politicians willing to forsake their own consciences and impose a directly anti-Catholic view on others have come a long way from the legacy of American history's highest profile Catholic statesman, John F. Kennedy, who while discussing his role as a Catholic and candidate for president said: "If the time should ever come -- and I do not concede any conflict to be even remotely possible -- when my office would require me to either violate my conscience or violate the national interest, then I would resign the office; and I hope any conscientious public servant would do the same."

And while some might consider that Catholic politicians have disagreed with the public policy recommendations of their bishops in a variety of areas, the key is this: Many issues are prudential and open to reasonable disagreement; but the inalienable right to life in the context of abortion is not -- it is fundamental and it may not be compromised.

As Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger -- now Benedict XVI -- noted about Catholic politicians in 2004:

"Not all moral issues have the same moral weight as abortion."He added: "While
the Church exhorts civil authorities to seek peace, not war, and to exercise
discretion and mercy in imposing punishment on criminals, it may still be
permissible to take up arms to repel an aggressor or to have recourse to capital
punishment. There may be a legitimate diversity of opinion even among Catholics
about waging war and applying the death penalty, but not however with regard to
abortion."

Unjust law
Catholic politicians must now consider the effect of national legislation mandating Catholic cooperation in abortion. In his famous pro-life encyclical, "Evangelium Vitae," Pope John Paul II said: "The passing of unjust laws often raises difficult problems of conscience for morally upright people with regard to the issue of cooperation, since they have a right to demand not to be forced to take part in morally evil actions."

He said further: "Christians, like all people of good will, are called upon under grave obligation of conscience not to cooperate formally in practices which, even if permitted by civil legislation, are contrary to God's law. Indeed, from the moral standpoint, it is never licit to cooperate formally in evil.

[…]"This cooperation can never be justified either by invoking respect for the
freedom of others or by appealing to the fact that civil law permits it or
requires it. Each individual in fact has moral responsibility for the acts which
he personally performs; no one can be exempted from this responsibility, and on
the basis of it everyone will be judged by God himself" (74).

It is doubly ironic that a law that would force millions to violate their conscience by paying their taxes and would entangle thousands of Catholic physicians, nurses, hospitals and charities in the evil of abortion is being considered at precisely a time when the majority of Americans -- in greater and greater numbers -- are increasingly becoming more pro-life.

Catholic public officials in Washington have the power to prevent this moral tragedy from happening. They should not hesitate to do so.

Bipartisanship of our government?

Nope. Nodda. No can do. They are just not interested. Watching the House of Representatives on November 7Th work out the dreaded Pelosicare bill was predictably straight down party lines save one or two traitors. It's a mindless leadership in DC on the Democrat side, they are just happy to be in control. They are not interested in being good and fair and serving the citizens of this great nation, just in control.

They are not interested in telling the truth, being transparent, or remotely bipartisan. They have no interest in sharing the limelight with the 'other side.' This president is not the president of the entire nation, only the ones that agree with him. The other side are just those that need to be corrected and put in the corner powerless.

Many on Twitter are calling the POTUS a manchild in a big and rich playground. I agree, he plays golf while men and women are in harms way waiting for reinforcements. He gambles with our money and jobs in his continual power-grabs of our representatives, forcing them into situations where voting on legislation is nearly impossible. He has surrounded himself with shock-thinkers he wishes he was more like, but isn't brave enough, and he is way to sensitive. This is not the characteristic of a winning national leader, much less a world leader.

George Washington stated in his first Inaugural address,

"No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible hand which
conducts the affairs of men more than those of the United States. Every
step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems
to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency; and in the
important revolution just accomplished in the system of their united government
the tranquil deliberations and voluntary consent of so many distinct communities
from which the event has resulted not be compared with the means by which most
governments have been established without some return of pious gratitude, along
with a humble anticipation of the future blessings which the past seem to
presage."

Washington went on to say further in his Inaugural address,

"I behold the surest pledges that as on one side no local prejudices or
attachments, no separate views nor party animosities, will misdirect the
comprehensive and equal eye which ought to watch over this great assemblage of
communities and interests, so on another, that the foundation of our national
policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality,
and the preeminence of free government be exemplified by all the attributes
which can win the affections of its citizens and command the respect of the
world."

The present situation in our country is the result of defiance of these initial pledges of our first president. Basically, the present POTUS probably never read these goals that came from one who saw first hand, was shot at, nearly killed, drudged through snow, heat, and rain on barely enough rations to keep sustained for weeks and months in pursuit of his newly formed constitution and nation. The present POTUS never fought in a war, never was surrounded by others with kindred hearts for cause of their country and liberty. He never felt the pang of slavery, hunger, only spoiled privileges and favors.

Our nation is in the wrong hands, our nation is in the wrong direction, our nation has lost respect of the history of blood, sweat, and tears spent on such a noble cause as freedom, independence, and just pure motives for getting along as one united nations of states.

How do we get back to where we came from? We must all revisit our history and revisit the founding fathers and what they said, did, and went through. We need to be re-educated.

Especially this POTUS.

Salaries, Officers and Employees

Allowances and Expenses
For allowances and expenses as authorized by House resolution or law, $317,940,000, including: supplies, materials, administrative costs and Federal tort claims, $3,948,000; official mail for committees, leadership offices, and administrative offices of the House, $201,000; Government contributions for health, retirement, Social Security, and other applicable employee benefits, $278,378,000, including employee tuition assistance benefit payments, $3,500,000, if authorized, and employee child care benefit payments, $1,000,000, if authorized; Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, $27,698,000, of which $9,000,000 shall remain available until expended; transition activities for new members and staff, $2,907,000; Wounded Warrior Program, $2,500,000, to be derived from funding provided for this purpose in Division G of Public Law 111-8; Office of Congressional Ethics, $1,548,000; Energy Demonstration Projects, $2,500,000, if authorized, to remain available until expended; and miscellaneous items including purchase, exchange, maintenance, repair and operation of House motor vehicles, interparliamentary receptions, and gratuities to heirs of deceased employees of the House, $760,000.

Child Care Center
For salaries and expenses of the House of Representatives Child Care Center, such amounts as are deposited in the account established by section 312(d)(1) of the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 1992 (2 U.S.C. 2062), subject to the level specified in the budget of the Center, as submitted to the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives.

Administrative Provisions
Sec. 101. (a) REQUIRING AMOUNTS REMAINING IN MEMBERS' REPRESENTATIONAL ALLOWANCES TO BE USED FOR DEFICIT REDUCTION OR TO REDUCE THE FEDERAL DEBT- Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any amounts appropriated under this Act for `HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES--SALARIES AND EXPENSES--MEMBERS' REPRESENTATIONAL ALLOWANCES' shall be available only for fiscal year 2010. Any amount remaining after all payments are made under such allowances for fiscal year 2010 shall be deposited in the Treasury and used for deficit reduction (or, if there is no Federal budget deficit after all such payments have been made, for reducing the Federal debt, in such manner as the Secretary of the Treasury considers appropriate).

(b) REGULATIONS- The Committee on House Administration of the House of Representatives shall have authority to prescribe regulations to carry out this section.

(c) DEFINITION- As used in this section, the term `Member of the House of Representatives' means a Representative in, or a Delegate or Resident Commissioner to, the Congress.
SEC. 102. Effective with respect to fiscal year 2010 and each succeeding fiscal year, the aggregate amount otherwise authorized to be appropriated for a fiscal year for the lump-sum allowance for each of the following offices is increased as follows:

(1) The allowance for the office of the Majority Whip is increased by $96,000.
(2) The allowance for the office of the Minority Whip is increased by $96,000.

Joint Committee on Taxation

Joint Economic Committee
For salaries and expenses of the Joint Economic Committee, $4,814,000, to be disbursed by the Secretary of the Senate.

Joint Committee on Taxation
For salaries and expenses of the Joint Committee on Taxation, $11,451,000, to be disbursed by the Chief Administrative Officer of the House of Representatives.

For other joint items, as follows:

Office of the Attending Physician
For medical supplies, equipment, and contingent expenses of the emergency rooms, and for the Attending Physician and his assistants, including: (1) an allowance of $2,175 per month to the Attending Physician; (2) an allowance of $1,300 per month to the Senior Medical Officer; (3) an allowance of $725 per month each to three medical officers while on duty in the Office of the Attending Physician; (4) an allowance of $725 per month to two assistants and $580 per month each not to exceed 11 assistants on the basis heretofore provided for such assistants; and (5) $2,366,000 for reimbursement to the Department of the Navy for expenses incurred for staff and equipment assigned to the Office of the Attending Physician, which shall be advanced and credited to the applicable appropriation or appropriations from which such salaries, allowances, and other expenses are payable and shall be available for all the purposes thereof, $3,805,000, to be disbursed by the Chief Administrative Officer of the House of Representatives.

Office of Congressional Accessibility Services
SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For salaries and expenses of the Office of Congressional Accessibility Services, $1,314,000, to be disbursed by the Secretary of the Senate.

Statements of Appropriations
For the preparation, under the direction of the Committees on Appropriations of the Senate and the House of Representatives, of the statements for the first session of the 111th Congress, showing appropriations made, indefinite appropriations, and contracts authorized, together with a chronological history of the regular appropriations bills as required by law, $30,000, to be paid to the persons designated by the chairmen of such committees to supervise the work.

CAPITOL POLICE
salaries
For salaries of employees of the Capitol Police, including overtime, hazardous duty pay differential, and Government contributions for health, retirement, social security, professional liability insurance, and other applicable employee benefits, $263,198,000, to be disbursed by the Chief of the Capitol Police or his designee.

GENERAL EXPENSES
For necessary expenses of the Capitol Police, including motor vehicles, communications and other equipment, security equipment and installation, uniforms, weapons, supplies, materials, training, medical services, forensic services, stenographic services, personal and professional services, the employee assistance program, the awards program, postage, communication services, travel advances, relocation of instructor and liaison personnel for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, and not more than $5,000 to be expended on the certification of the Chief of the Capitol Police in connection with official representation and reception expenses, $61,914,000, to be disbursed by the Chief of the Capitol Police or his designee: Provided, That, notwithstanding any other provision of law, the cost of basic training for the Capitol Police at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center for fiscal year 2010 shall be paid by the Secretary of Homeland Security from funds available to the Department of Homeland Security.

ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS
(INCLUDING TRANSFER OF FUNDS)
SEC. 1001. TRANSFER AUTHORITY- Amounts appropriated for fiscal year 2010 for the Capitol Police may be transferred between the headings `SALARIES' and `GENERAL EXPENSES' upon the approval of the Committees on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and the Senate.

OFFICE OF COMPLIANCE
Salaries and Expenses
For salaries and expenses of the Office of Compliance, as authorized by section 305 of the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 (2 U.S.C. 1385), $4,335,000, of which $884,000 shall remain available until September 30, 2011: Provided, That the Executive Director of the Office of Compliance may, within the limits of available appropriations, dispose of surplus or obsolete personal property by interagency transfer, donation, or discarding: Provided further, That not more than $500 may be expended on the certification of the Executive Director of the Office of Compliance in connection with official representation and reception expenses.

CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE
Salaries and Expenses
For salaries and expenses necessary for operation of the Congressional Budget Office, including not more than $6,000 to be expended on the certification of the Director of the Congressional Budget Office in connection with official representation and reception expenses, $45,165,000.

ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS
SEC. 1101- MODIFICATIONS TO EXECUTIVE EXCHANGE PROGRAM- (a) EXPANSION OF NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS- Section 1201(b) of the Legislative Branch Apropriations Act, 2008 (2 U.S.C. 611 note) is amended by striking `3' each place it appears and inserting `5'.

(b) PERMANENT EXTENSION OF PROGRAM- Section 1201 of such Act (2 U.S.C. 611 note) is amended--
(1) by striking subsection (d) and redesignating subsection (e) as subsection (d); and
(2) in subsection (d), as so redesignated, by strking `Subject to subsection (d), this section' and inserting `This section'.
(c) EFFECTIVE DATE- The amendments made by this section shall take effect as if included in the enactment of the Legislatve Branch Appropriations Act, 2008.

ARCHITECT OF THE CAPITOL
General Administration
For salaries for the Architect of the Capitol, and other personal services, at rates of pay provided by law; for surveys and studies in connection with activities under the care of the Architect of the Capitol; for all necessary expenses for the general and administrative support of the operations under the Architect of the Capitol including the Botanic Garden; electrical substations of the Capitol, Senate and House office buildings, and other facilities under the jurisdiction of the Architect of the Capitol; including furnishings and office equipment; including not more than $5,000 for official reception and representation expenses, to be expended as the Architect of the Capitol may approve; for purchase or exchange, maintenance, and operation of a passenger motor vehicle, $109,392,000, of which $8,950,000 shall remain available until September 30, 2014.

Historic Buildings Revitalization Trust Fund
For a payment to the Historic Buildings Revitalization Trust Fund established under section 1201, $60,000,000, to remain available until expended.

Capitol Building
For necessary expenses for the maintenance, care and operation of the Capitol, $32,800,000, of which $6,241,000 shall remain available until September 30, 2014.

Capitol Grounds
For all necessary expenses for care and improvement of grounds surrounding the Capitol, the Senate and House office buildings, and the Capitol Power Plant, $10,920,000, of which $1,410,000 shall remain available until September 30, 2014.

House Office Buildings
For all necessary expenses for the maintenance, care and operation of the House office buildings, $100,466,000, of which $53,360,000 shall remain available until September 30, 2014.

Capitol Power Plant
For all necessary expenses for the maintenance, care and operation of the Capitol Power Plant; lighting, heating, power (including the purchase of electrical energy) and water and sewer services for the Capitol, Senate and House office buildings, Library of Congress buildings, and the grounds about the same, Botanic Garden, Senate garage, and air conditioning refrigeration not supplied from plants in any of such buildings; heating the Government Printing Office and Washington City Post Office, and heating and chilled water for air conditioning for the Supreme Court Building, the Union Station complex, the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building and the Folger Shakespeare Library, expenses for which shall be advanced or reimbursed upon request of the Architect of the Capitol and amounts so received shall be deposited into the Treasury to the credit of this appropriation, $125,083,000, of which $31,560,000 shall remain available until September 30, 2014: Provided, That not more than $8,000,000 of the funds credited or to be reimbursed to this appropriation as herein provided shall be available for obligation during fiscal year 2010.

Library Buildings and Grounds
For all necessary expenses for the mechanical and structural maintenance, care and operation of the Library buildings and grounds, $41,937,000, of which $15,750,000 shall remain available until September 30, 2014.

Capitol Police Buildings, Grounds and Security
For all necessary expenses for the maintenance, care and operation of buildings, grounds and security enhancements of the United States Capitol Police, wherever located, the Alternate Computer Facility, and AOC security operations, $26,364,000, of which $7,750,000 shall remain available until September 30, 2014.

Botanic Garden
For all necessary expenses for the maintenance, care and operation of the Botanic Garden and the nurseries, buildings, grounds, and collections; and purchase and exchange, maintenance, repair, and operation of a passenger motor vehicle; all under the direction of the Joint Committee on the Library, $11,263,000, of which $900,000 shall remain available until September 30, 2014: Provided, That of the amount made available under this heading, the Architect may obligate and expend such sums as may be necessary for the maintenance, care and operation of the National Garden established under section 307E of the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 1989 (2 U.S.C. 2146), upon vouchers approved by the Architect or a duly authorized designee.

Capitol Visitor Center
For necessary expenses for Capitol Visitor Center operations costs, $23,166,000.

Administrative Provisions
Sec. 1201. HISTORIC BUILDINGS REVITALIZATION TRUST FUND- (a) ESTABLISHMENT- There is hereby established in the Treasury of the United States, as an account for the Architect of the Capitol, the Historic Buildings Revitalization Trust Fund (hereafter in this section referred to as the `Fund').

Texting with her cellphone while driving, Maria Shriver, married to the governor of California, was caught on camera performing an illegal act in public. She should know better, but no ticket. Now this afternoon, she is at it again, parking in a 'red' zone while keeping a doctor's appointment. Was this an emergency doctor's visit or just a routine checkup? Would that really matter? But here she is parked for about an hour in the "No Parking" which is a Fire Zone designation. Did she get a ticket this time? Why no. Nope, no ticket this time either. Seems like California's First lady has the run of the place, doing whatever she pleases without any need for feeling responsible.

Earlier this past summer, I reported on an interview that Ms. Shriver gave a Catholic News agency about how she deems herself a devout, even a GOOD Catholic even though she doesn't adhere on all the basic Church teachings, including pro-life issues. She even when as far as to say that she and the pastor of her parish are great friends. She receives communion, probably doesn't attend penance services, but again, she has no reason to feel responsible for her actions.

Does this give you the creeps? Or at least anger you that the average Citizen can't get this same treatment? We would be paying fines, given tickets, etc.

You only THINK you've seen it all. In this video, you will see that Obama's nominee for the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission, Chai Feldblum, has been hard at work on this angle for the homosexual movement. With Obama appearing at a homosexual convention the other day stating that He will be signing legislation for them, then assigning this Chai Feldbaun to the task of attacking employers and businesses to accept (damn it!) gays or else! It's getting his foothold on the neck of the traditional family's last glimmer of hope to stay alive.

They speak of equality, they talk about morality, they are pushing their agendas with words like responsibility, equality, fairness, and acceptance. Feldbaum speaks of a "war that needs to be fought, not in Iraq or the middle East, but right here, to convince people that morality demands homosexuals be accepted!"

This POTUS, has no faith, no church, no close walk with Christ for guidance, just lobbyists, corporations, and sponsors continually whispering in his ears, "We will make you big and strong, we will make you the hero of all, everyone will love you and honor you as the savior of our country and the WORLD!! You, our dear Obama, will be bigger than MLK, bigger than Elvis, bigger than Jesus Christ Himself! You will be written in the books of history as the Change the world could and DID believe in! Keep walking our walk, keep talking our talk because you don't have your own design, just ours. You are our puppet, just like all the other gays in the limelight right now, we will use you to our convenience. We use people who will stand up for anything that will get them fame and money and power. So, that's is, keep on talking our talk, you are doing our mission much good."

So, what can we do? Organizations like NC Family Policy Council, Christian Action League are places to start learning how this government is trying to both approve of and implement this thinking into our schools, churches, medical centers, as well as media. Also, we should not just sit back and accept these alternative ways of thinking. We are NOT powerless, we do have a voice, and possibly, just possibly it is our job in society to speak up for the return to good moral living, thinking, and parameters for if we don't there will not be a black and white, right or wrong, up or down, just lots of gray, no direction, and no parameters to keep. Chaos, only chaos without the security of knowing where one stands.

The bottom line here is this: Children, raised in a responsible home, have parameters to which their conduct is taught, staying in and knowing where they are gives them security and confidence. We are no different, only older. If one doesn't stand for something, one falls for anything. Fight for what is right and be persecuted for it, be not afraid, our society is worth fighting for, our children are worth fighting for, our country is worth fighting for.

This was my first BIG rally! I had attended the Marriage Rally in Raleigh, NC and helped organize a Tax Day Teaparty in my town, but when I got the call to attend the National Teaparty in DC on September 12th, I was a bit apprehensive. BUT I went.

My friend Vicky and I joined a group of patriots in Roanoke Rapids, NC at 4:30 am Saturday, September 12th, leaving my knight-in-shining-armour to hold down the home with our daughters. It was dark, but the enthusiasm, energy, joy, and ready-to-make-a stand feeling I saw in everyone we met that early in the morning was truly comforting. Fifty-six of us rode in the tour bus, followed by a 15-passenger van that they rented at the last minute (as more patriots kept calling our organizer to attend the rally) along with a pick-up truck with a few last minute tag-alongs.

As we made our way up I95 to Washington, we kept passing other buses full of red/white&blue clad patriots waving back at us. Bus after bus full of Americans scared, fed up, and just plain angry about how the Democrat administration has been taking our country off course of our founding fathers' intended existence. During the 3.5 hour journey, things were rather quiet, some trying to get a little more sleep, others reading, listening to ipods, or those like me, watching out the window thinking about the day ahead. What is it going to be like? How many of us are there? and will there be trouble, will we be heard, is this going to make a difference?

Vicky told me as we were approaching the DC area and the monuments were beginning to peak into view, that she had never been to Washington, DC and that she really hadn't cared to with the way things have been for so many years. I felt sad at first, but sort of understood. I remembered my first visit to the Capitol, how excited I felt, how patriotic and proud I was seeing all the amazing monuments, building, and gazing at our nation's Capitol! How beautiful it was and how I just stared at it...couldn't get my eyes off of it. As my family drove through the streets of DC, we would see limos, buildings, and engravings of amazing sayings.

Anyway, back to the present, we got unloaded and began to see big gathering of other patriots. About an hour into the event someone told us that we had filled the entire length of Pennsylvania Avenue all the way to the Capitol. We cheered, our numbers were up, more and more Americans have heard the call of their country and come to help make a difference. She needs us, and we need her for as Michelle Bachman says, "Thousands come to America every year for safety, a better life, and protection from the oppression they are experiencing in their countries. If we muck up America, where are we going to go?"

The atmosphere was one of collaboration, one goal, solidarity, peace. No one was rude, angry, or impolite, I didn't see any problems at all. Everyone was smiling, laughing and cheering together as one. I kept thinking about how at Pope John Paul II's funeral the atmosphere was peaceful, sad, but yet joyful at the gift of his papacy. No violence, trouble, just prayer, pride, and fellow admirers of the beloved late pope and how so many came to his funeral and that the event went off without a hitch, the same was happening today for our country. Yes, I had prayed for travel protection, asked others to pray for our trip and for the day. It just seemed so right and peaceful. No one looked at what party you belonged to, or what faith you had, it was the common ground we all were there for that took presidence this day.

On the bus ride back, the mood was one of enthusiasm, empowerment, many were talking about the next rally, some were talking about having one soon. "We don't want to lose this energy and enthusiasm." Everyone was exchanging phone numbers, emails, and Facebook pages with a promise to keep up with each other and plan the next rally soon. Vicky wants to form a teaparty network state by state with a national connection so that each state would be contacted for rallies, phone calling, whatever so that we can best work for the American liberty and freedom we are fast losing if we don't stand up now.

At the end of the day, we were tired, I checked my pedometer and it read, 20,548 steps in ONE day! No wonder my thighs ached all the next day, I could barely kneel at Mass Sunday morning!

Below is his "apology" to the police officer in Cambridge, MA, along with my opinion of his comment in bold.

I wanted to address you guys directly because over the last day and a half obviously there’s been all sorts of controversy around the incident that happened in Cambridge with Professor Gates and the police department there.

His continued informal speak (You guys)is very Unpresidential and immature for this office.

I actually just had a conversation with Sergeant Jim Crowley, the officer involved. And I have to tell you that as I said yesterday, my impression of him was that he was a outstanding police officer and a good man, and that was confirmed in the phone conversation — and I told him that.

And because this has been ratcheting up — and I obviously helped to contribute ratcheting it up — I want to make clear that in my choice of words I think I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sergeant Crowley specifically — and I could have calibrated those words differently. And I told this to Sergeant Crowley.

"I think I....gave an impression that I was maligning with CPD..and should have calibrated those words differently!!!" You are the freaken President of the US! You think you should choose your words more carefully!!! Holy Cow, what a revelation!

I continue to believe, based on what I have heard, that there was an overreaction in pulling Professor Gates out of his home to the station. I also continue to believe, based on what I heard, that Professor Gates probably overreacted as well. My sense is you’ve got two good people in a circumstance in which neither of them were able to resolve the incident in the way that it should have been resolved and the way they would have liked it to be resolved.
You continue to think?? That's not what you said originally! You blamed it on the officer!

The fact that it has garnered so much attention I think is a testimony to the fact that these are issues that are still very sensitive here in America. So to the extent that my choice of words didn’t illuminate, but rather contributed to more media frenzy, I think that was unfortunate.

You THINK it's a testimony that we still have sensitivity in the area of racial issues?? You THINK!! You THINK your words...ILLUMINATING the issue was unfortunate!?? Really!!

What I’d like to do then I make sure that everybody steps back for a moment, recognizes that these are two decent people, not extrapolate too much from the facts — but as I said at the press conference, be mindful of the fact that because of our history, because of the difficulties of the past, you know, African Americans are sensitive to these issues. And even when you’ve got a police officer who has a fine track record on racial sensitivity, interactions between police officers and the African American community can sometimes be fraught with misunderstanding.

JUST African-Americans!!!??? Just African-Americans??

My hope is, is that as a consequence of this event this ends up being what’s called a “teachable moment,” where all of us instead of pumping up the volume spend a little more time listening to each other and try to focus on how we can generally improve relations between police officers and minority communities, and that instead of flinging accusations we can all be a little more reflective in terms of what we can do to contribute to more unity. Lord knows we need it right now — because over the last two days as we’ve discussed this issue, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but nobody has been paying much attention to health care. (Laughter.)

"A teachable moment" for whom? The people of the US? African-Americans? Us white-folk? or you, Mr. POTUS with the big, stupid mouth who threw the biggest accusation of all toward the police officer? By the way, why don't you talk to your press and see if possibly they could stop covering this stuff so one-sidedly, if at all making it bigger than it ought to be in the first place?

I will not use this time to spend more words on health care, although I can’t guarantee that that will be true next week. I just wanted to emphasize that — one last point I guess I would make. There are some who say that as President I shouldn’t have stepped into this at all because it’s a local issue. I have to tell you that that part of it I disagree with. The fact that this has become such a big issue I think is indicative of the fact that race is still a troubling aspect of our society. Whether I were black or white, I think that me commenting on this and hopefully contributing to constructive — as opposed to negative — understandings about the issue, is part of my portfolio.

The only reason this has become a big issue is because YOU STEPPED INTO IT!!! This is a local issue and your narcissist personality seems to prevent you from thinking you can do wrong local, state, corporate, or Federal...and the WORLD!!! You had no business in this local issue, much less in foreign, corporate, and financial, but hey...you are narcisstic and the 'Chosen One'

So at the end of the conversation there was a discussion about — my conversation with Sergeant Crowley, there was discussion about he and I and Professor Gates having a beer here in the White House. We don’t know if that’s scheduled yet — (laughter) — but we may put that together.

Sheesh! Yea, right...you just needed another laugh didn't you. We won't be holding our breath for this meeting any more than we would hold our breath for your appearance with Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh!!

He also did say he wanted to find out if there was a way of getting the press off his lawn. (Laughter.) I informed him that I can’t get the press off my lawn. (Laughter.) He pointed out that my lawn is bigger than his lawn. (Laughter.) But if anybody has any connections to the Boston press, as well as national press, Sergeant Crowley would be happy for you to stop trampling his grass.

Ok some clarification here, the Washington, DC lawn is NOT YOUR lawn it's our lawn! and yes, you DO have pull to get the press off his lawn....you just refuse to do it since you want this to continue to fester, don't you?

House Passes Granger IMF Amendment

Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-TX), the Ranking Member of the Appropriations Subcommittee for State-Foreign Operations, reinforced the will of Congress today with an amendment to prohibit funds in the State-Foreign Operations Appropriations bill from being used by the Secretary of the Treasury to negotiate any agreement in breach of enacted provisions in the War Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2009 that was signed into law in June.

The Granger amendment reaffirms Congress' role in controlling the Administration as it spends hundreds of billions of dollars in multilateral foreign assistance. In a show of bipartisan support, the House passed the Granger amendment by an overwhelming vote of 429-2. Granger released the following statement after the passage of the amendment:

“I appreciate the bipartisan support for my amendment. I think we can all agree that now more than ever we need to keep a watchful eye on how we spend money – regardless of whether it’s spent domestically or overseas.

“Sending money overseas, and to an organization such as the IMF with no commitment from the Administration to ensure the funds are used properly or will not be given to any state sponsor of terrorism is completely unacceptable,” said Granger.

Last month, the Democrat majority in Congress provided President Obama with $108 billion in new funding for the International Monetary Fund as well as approved for the IMF to sell 13 million ounces of gold with proceeds providing a cushion for their internal operating expenses. In doing so, Congress provided for an unprecedented expansion of IMF resources and powers.

On June 24, when President Obama signed the fiscal year 2009 supplemental into law, he issued a signing statement saying he would ignore guidelines put in place by Congress when the IMF funding was approved. The very provisions ignored by President Obama provide some of the only oversight that the United States exercises over the IMF – an organization that will triple in size this year because of the supplemental allocation.

On June 23 during the markup of the State-Foreign Operations bill, the full Committee accepted an amendment by Congresswoman Granger that severely limited the IMF’s authority, including a requirement that the US contribute no more than 20% of the total to the IMF’s emergency loans and a requirement that the U.S. contribution to the IMF emergency credit line expire after 5 years.

Our nation is standing at the face of true division and change. Not totally understanding all that is happening, I have a sneaking suspicion that it will all happen without the people's vote, knowledge, and control and it will come to fruition and ruin after the smoke clears and the damage done.

Do you know what it happening? Here in North Carolina, we have an "Education" lottery that is no longer going to schools, our students, and teachers. We have state employees and teachers getting .5% of their total annual income taken out by the state during a 2-month period May and June (right before vacation season no less!) on an involuntarily basis with a .3% robbery planned for next year.

Shouldn't a person's paycheck be sacred? Shouldn't they be able to have a say? Shouldn't there be some kind of waiver for the more needy state employees needing every penny of their income to support their families? Shouldn't there be some time involved for these unfortunate (my husband included!!!) sitting ducks to prepare for it? They had less than one month, just one month to brace for the state government's onslaught.

This Governor made this decision and had it passed very late at night while we were sleeping. Like a thief in the night. This seems to be notorious for the Democrat administration. While we were sleeping they passed stimulus bills, budgets, and special education benefits cuts. These officials will not always be in office, I wonder how this will effect them then? We know that the governor of our state didn't have a salary cut, she didn't take money out of her pocket. She isn't hurting financially, struggling with kids to feed and mortgages to pay.

Telegraph reporter Stephanie Gutmann describes her reaction to Barack Obama’s appearance in Berlin: “After it was over I picked up the phone and called a friend back home. ‘It’s worse than we thought,’ I told him. ‘The guy’s actually crazy.’”

Guttman was talking about candidate Obama’s agenda as he presented it that day, in which he promised to take on the terrorists in Afghanistan, take on the drug dealers, rebuild Afghanistan, eliminate the building nuclear threat, secure all loose nukes, decrease arsenals from another era, form a new global partnership that will end terror networks, redistribute wealth, save the planet, withdraw all troops from Iraq, keep the oceans from rising, end famine, and reduce carbon output. Most politicians would have quit after two or three such ambitious proposals.

Incredibly, there are Obamanutz among us who honestly don’t realize that Barack Obama is a narcissist of the worst kind. Most people erroneously presume that narcissism is something akin to egomania or an unusually high sense of self-esteem. The truth is the reverse. Narcissists suffer from self-loathing, not too much self-love.

It takes a bit of narcissism to wake up in the morning and think, “Hey, I really ought to be leader of the free world.” Coming to such a conclusion in the fourth grade is, to say the least, ambitious. Having some narcissistic traits does not a narcissist make. However, according to the Encyclopedia of Mental Disorders, grandiosity is the most important single trait innarcissism.
Obama’s grandiosity is striking. It’s in his body language and posturing. It’s in his derisive comments about “bitter clingers.” In office, Obama has demonstrated early on his sense of entitlement and his belief that he is above the law.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders(DSM IV-TR) is the diagnostic manual used by mental healthprofessionals. A diagnosis of narcissism requires five out of nine characteristics. Note these traits must endure over time and must not be reactions to a particular situation or environmental stressor:

Grandiose sense of self-importance.
Preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, beauty, or ideal love.
Sense of specialness, belief he can only be understood by or should associate only with other special or high-status individuals or institutions.
Need for excessive admiration.
Heightened sense of entitlement, leading to unreasonable expectations that others should treat him especially favorably or comply automatically with his expectations.
Tendency to be interpersonally exploitive. A person with NPD does not hesitate in taking advantage of others to meet his own ends.
Lack of empathy, an inability or unwillingness to recognize or identify with the feelings or needs of others.
An envy of other people, or conversely, a belief that other people envy him.
A tendency toward arrogant behavior or attitude.
In his essay on Obama’s narcissism, Sam Vaknin references Obama’s haughty body language and condescending attitude. Vaknin also points out Obama’s “emotion free language.”

At the same time Bill Ayers was hijacking our schoolchildren, the popular culture was decomposing. With the advent of the Great Society and the disintegration of the nuclear family, the decline of our pop culture parallels the disintegration of our educational system. Radicals grabbed control over both. The entertainment industry has made pernicious narcissism seem unexceptional.

The narcissist in chief’s cavernous lack of empathy becomes more obvious as his presidency rolls on. It could hardly be called empathic behavior when Obama decided to drop all charges against Cole bomber Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri before Obama’s scheduled meeting with the families of the Cole victims.

Barack Obama lied to us throughout the campaign and continues to do so as the president. How did over half of the country not notice? The simple answer is that we are just not very good at recognizing when someone is lying to us. Our deception detection skills are inadequate.
Barack Obama is acting out his pathology at our expense. His appalling treatment of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown could be written off as another example of this administration’s incompetence. But it also looks as if Obama also has his own ax to grind with the Brits and lacks the emotional maturity to deal with it like a grown-up.

When children experience overwhelming trauma, they protect themselves as best they can with a variety of defense mechanisms. There is no question that life for little Barry Soetoro was traumatic, full of chaos and abandonment, as well as genuine fear. The adults in his life betrayed him and taught him hate and mistrust. Otto Kernberg, in his research on narcissism, states that it evolves as a defense against a cold and unsympathetic parent. The child withdraws part of himself from the unavailable parent and turns it back toward himself, creating a grandiose sense of self. Healthy emotional development was just not possible in young Barry’s environment.

The truth about No Drama Obama is that his early life was perpetual drama, which had to have done plenty of damage. What is most disturbing is his failure to deal with it. People do recover from early trauma and abuse, but only if they acknowledge it and allow themselves to experience the feelings that they had to block when they were too little to manage them. Eventually, the experiences have to be integrated into the adult personality; and not infrequently, abuse survivors benefit from professional support.

The current leader of the free world is not in touch with reality. The toady press gleefully accepts his fabrications and denials. And mental health professionals have shown a remarkable lack of curiosity about the mental health of the President of the United States.

It’s not in the nation’s best interest to put a narcissist in the White House. Bill Clinton’s debauchery demonstrated his willingness to put his need for narcissistic supply ahead of the well-being of the country he was hired to serve. Clinton’s narcissism was manifestly less toxic than Barack Obama’s.

For all of the narcissist’s grandiosity, he is driven by a relentless need to pursue and maintain a source of narcissistic supply. A narcissist is at his most menacing when he perceives a threat to his perpetual supply of admiration and affirmation. No drama Obama is already showing the truculence typical of narcissists when they sense a threat to supply. The same president who remains steadfast in his willingness to meet with Iran’s barbarian in chief, Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, is bleating about imagined desecration by Fox News. That would be the same network which liberal hack, Terry McAuliffe, applauded for its fair and balanced reporting during the 2008 primaries.

The narcissist in chief has been needling private citizens on talk radio and Fox News for insufficient veneration. The leader of the free world is impelled to use his standing to rebuke talk radio hosts while Iran is on fire, his economic policies are having catastrophic repercussions, and lunatics in North Korea are planning to launch a missile at Hawaii.

For the narcissist, nothing matters more than maintaining his supply. From Obama’s perspective, being chided by a cable news commentator really is a more pressing exigency than the possibility of Iran amassing nuclear weapons.

It’s no coincidence that many, if not most domestic abusers are narcissists. Domestic violence experts concur that the most perilous time for the victim is when she endeavors to flee from her abuser. The victim’s abandonment is felt as an inexorable threat to his narcissistic supply and will evoke panic and rage.

As Obama’s poll numbers drop and continue to slide as his ruinous failures accumulate, expect his acting out to escalate. This is not the psychological profile of a guy we want as commander in chief.

In the political scene, it seems that Odrama has indeed brought the Chicago corruption machine with him along with the mentality of unjust leadership. There has been nothing that he has done that makes me thing our country is in good and fair hands.

Our country is more corrupt than every before. We have mountains to climb, obstacles to move, values to protect, and freedoms to preserve.

The Republican party has the right mindset, values, and we need to make sure that all Republicans get out and vote for the things.

Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and his brother, David, Neil Boortz, just to name a few.

State Convention for the NC GOP

This weekend the North Carolina GOP convention was held. My knight and I registered for the Saturday events only, with our daughters not interested in attending such an event and the expense of even just the two of us attending for one day. Anyway, we went with another couple that we are getting to know and enjoyed their company. Anyway, we learned lots of important information during the day.

One is the message for this summer is Virginia and New Jersey. Both states are looking at special elections for governors. The Obama administration focusing on them big time in their deadly "community organizing" techniques. So the Republican party really needs to get the conservative voters out and vote for the Republican candidates there.

Another thing is how to use FaceBook and other online resources to benefit the Republican Women of Pitt county of which I am the president. I need to get the word out to as many Pitt county Republican women (and men) as possible about this club and work on getting more younger and more technically functional members.

Our new State Chair is Mr. Tom Fetzer and his Vice Chair is Dr. Timothy F. Johnson, of which both are highly spirited Republicans. I truly wish them all the strength, wisdom, and good direction they can have. We have a lot of work to do.

Letter to North Carolina Gov. Bev. Perdue

Dear Gov. Perdue,

This past April, you passed legislation that takes .5% of the total annual income over a 4 pay period cycle during May and June, 2009 from all state employees and teachers to help with state's financially broken situation. Once again, the good citizens are being punished to pay for the bad practices of the corrupt state leadership under the umbrella of a power-grab. Taking from scientists, doctors, nurses, professors, teachers, and all those that take care of the facilities housing these listed professions.

Let me tell you a bit about these life-blood of society professions. What would our world be like without scientists devoting their lives studying, researching, answering the questions of how disease happens, finding cures for, and vaccines to prevent, diseases and preventable deaths. Professors, teachers passing on the experiences and knowledge to our next generation to prosper and grow ever smarter into the future. The doctors and nurses who see to it that all that can be done to help society's healthcare be what it needs to be for the good of its people. Nurturing the sick, restoring health and livelihoods, being lifesaving and caretakers for those who find themselves stricken. Are these the people you really want to take pay from? Do you really want them to feel that they are sitting ducks for your every whim? Really?

America was built on something far more mightier than these so-called mandatory power-grabs. America has a reputation of giving at times of need. Americans will, when ASKED, give and give when they are given a CHOICE. When trouble comes, Americans have stepped up to the plate opening their wallets, piggybanks, and spare change. If you had put out a call for help with the state tax refunds and healthcare benefits due to the financial situation, you would have seen many comply gladly. You would have covered more ground in the process and not just picked on one group that you can control easily. You don't know your state citizens very well.

As the saying goes, "Ask and you shall receive." You are punishing the wrong group, beside the fact that you have gone about this ALL wrong in the first place. Respect given is respect received, you do not show any respect for these very important professions in our state, hence you won't receive much respect from them in the future. Next time, ask for donations, just a dollar per household would have given you much of what you needed to raise.

NOW.org: Throwing the baby out with the bath water

Once upon a time, women needed a strong force to help them get the vote, equal pay, and the ability to smoke and drink like the fellas. Ok, we have that now and if we don't, there's laws on the books that help us in a dispute.

However, this organization called NOW (National Organization for Women) is a self-professed strong-hold for all of women's rights. Women, thanks to NOW can have abortions, be lesbians, love their bodies, and leave the house to a career fit for a man! Should I be singing Hooray? NO!

This is an organization run by a bunch of women who pride themselves from the 60's era of being more powerful than men. Fiesty and righteous because they know that they have what men want and they are in control of this highly sought after commodity. The vagina. This sounds really bad right about now, and truly not my style of writing, but I am completely right on this, this is exactly what brought about an organization like NOW.

In 2005, this organization entered the homosexual arena making all kinds of noises for the lesbian, bi, and transgender woman, why? Because they felt that they needed to get some attention to get revived. Thank goodness for the abortion issue. They have at least had that to thrash about with since the 60's. These women want to control men, call the shots, and rise above them. Oh and babies, children, and the future generation, ump they say, on MY terms only! To Hell with giving them what THEY need, it's me first, my needs are priority #1 say these NOW women.

This organization is NOT for the traditional family, the homemaker, the homeschooling mom, the heterosexual woman that just wants to have a home, children, and a happy husband. This organization disses this type of woman. They don't support having children willingly, they call that a right and a choice, not a responsibility and a joy.

Where was this "great protector of all women throughout the nation" when Sarah Palin was persecuted during her run for Vice President? Where was this organization when Carrie Prejean, Miss California, was brutally scorned for having the guts to be true to herself? Just what does this organization really stand for?

Have we ever had this presidential problem before?

Here are some critical issues that seem to me to be no-brainers and should be corrected immediately:

1. The Homeland Security statement to the Law Enforcement agencies only.

Fix: Fire Napolitiano. Issue a complete apology to the nation's citizens with a promise that all government officials will write their OWN documents, read them, and sign off on them only after a complete evaluation. With one thing is mind.....the best for the country and it's people.

2. The Release of CIA documents under the Bush administration recently.

Fix: Admit that this was damaging and release the documents that revealed the good results that came from these techniques, which would render the techniques valuable after all.

3. The Stimulus Package:

Fix: Stop all actions until the document with 1400 pages is completely read, digested, and re-evaluated by all congress and the president. THEN, brought to the nations top NONpartisan economy professionals and evaluated. THEN, all the pork: compaign promises, favors, etc removed. Reducing the stimulus package to bare bones, check to see if there is any other way to help the economy improve, creating jobs, etc. and drop the stimulus package all to gether.

4. Odrama's foreign policy and apology tour:

Fix: Never, no NEVER let him leave US soil, or make an overseas phone call without first asking permission by the Republicans, the CIA, and any other smarter person in foreign dealings.

5. The unfortunate invitation of Odrama to Notre Dame's commencement:

Fix: Uninvite Odrama NOW, and again, Never, no NEVER to this again. Possibly the pope needs to step in here and order Fr. Jenkins to uninvite Odrama....and possibly replace Jenkins while he is at it.

6. What else? I know there is more......I'll get to it later.

It's Convention season!

My knight and I attended our 3rd Congressional District's yearly convention. What a blast. It is so fun to meet and hang with over 130 other like-minded Republicans. I am happy that we get to keep our chairman, he's great, funny, and very thorough.

There is something that I am most proud of and that is some of the amendments that we passed to day to go to the state convention. On was the fair voting amendment that requires a photo id for each person who wishes to vote. As a poll worker this past election, I learned quickly that anyone, from anywhere could and did walk up to me, tell me a name and if I found it and the address was the same, they got to vote. WHO knows who they really were!

Another amendment is that Republican candidates need to uphold and share the beliefs of Pro-life values. That was pretty much passed unanimously. I was truly pleased and proud.

Next stop is the state convention in June. We are delegates.

The Tea Party Movement and the media

Yesterday something huge happened in our country. A movement that tens of thousands of Americans gathered together in a nonpartisan voice. Thousands and thousands of people in America are angry about what is happening in their country and planned a peaceful, adamant, creative, collective event that told the story of what American is really all about. We took history, made it modern, and delivered it in the most amazing way. We spoke to Washington, DC and the elected officials, to Obama and his cohorts. This morning, we were ignored and I am outraged.

Attending a Tea Party yesterday in my small city, I felt something true, real, and totally ignored by the mainstream media. We have 3 media sources here in Greenville, NC a university town with student channel along with channel 9, 7, and 12. Channel 7 came out to cover the story. This morning, my husband, up before me, scanned the television for all the major medias and found not a word about these tea parties and the message from the people of our country.

WHAT THE HELL??

People kept coming up to me and each other yesterday asking, "What's next?" I looked around and asked myself that question...yesterday. Today, I have the answer. We need to change the media, they need to be changed. They are not for the truth and this is a travesty!

Media, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC? You are going to be changed, we have had enough of your control of what is covered and what is not. We have had enough of your choosing what we know and what isn't important enough to cover. We have had enough of your liberal, elitist attitude toward us, we are going to rise up against you and demand that you do your job....tell the truth and reveal what is right and what is really wrong in our country and the world.
